Would bring the bladder anyway in case of emergency. When you're hiking it's empty and on the campsite it's pretty handy for storage and filtering water with a gravity filter

I like the slid top open easy to clean out if drink other then water.

Great upload Bex. Thanks for your time. I've used all types in the past, in fact my Source 3L gave out this week. More than happy to take your discarded bladder off your hands if you "Wouldn't even put it on eBay", would save hunting around for a replacement.

I use the Virtus Rider BCB with the wide 3ltr bladder, good bit of kit but awkward for mounting outside of a daysack or burgen.

Bex I'm a 75 year old looking at doing short through hikes.( Brighton to Eastbourn 27 Miles). My bag is 1.9 Kilos, Biasha with pegs etc1.5, Bivi 1 foam pa, Jungle sleeping padd brew kit (pocket rocket) plus essentials comes to 9 kilo base weight, thats without clothing. Am I missing something? Ps Never done anything like this before. Please advise, and thanks for your videos and advise.

Great informative video as usual. I'm ex army getting on a bit now 64 years young with bad knees but with a mind of a young squaddie still and still love wildcamping.However with still using my old DPM Bergen and taking the basic essentials like Hammock,Underblanket,DPM Tarp, Bivvi bag, cordage,chair,roll mat,mini footprint,cookware,rat pack the weight all adds up to couldnt hold it for 5 seconds in my hand never mind 1 finger.

Once again you didn't disappoint; food for thought. I like the idea of one set of kit for hammock camping and an entirely separate set of kit for tent/tarp. I have enough kit to do this, just need to sort it.

This made my morning on so many levels! Thank you for a straightforward rebuke to naysayers and critics. I have wondered about using pods for camp coffee. It’s on my list now with a solid technique for brewing. And a spot of sugar in the woods is indeed “ the least of their concerns”. You’ll likely burn off those carbs in ten minutes of activity around camp. So grateful for seeing this today!

Got s few British ary ones? But i also have the german equivalent . They are slightly smaller but are thiker metal and they are galvanized. So ido have a preference for the german ones. Sometimes i take meths with me just to put a spot on the hexi block helos getting it going better. .

A few years later & the DWD's have begun to appear on ebay more often. Usually for around £90. I managed to grab a pair of side pockets for £30 not long ago too.

Woodlorien on eBay still makes lids. Does them for a range of cups/pots.

It's great that his works so well. I live in Alberta, Canada and the mountains are beautiful, but it can get a bit chilly at night. I like the fact that these are so power efficient and practical. Thank you for the video!
